Shipping & Delivery

Q. Do you ship to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii or internationally?

A. No. We only ship within the continental United States.

Q. Can I place my order for delivery some time in the future?

A. Yes.  If you have a special occasion coming up in the near future, but you want to place your order now, you may do so.  For your convenience, we will hold your order and ship it according to your future delivery request.  You will receive shipment confirmation via email when your actual shipment takes place.

Q. How will my order be shipped?

A. Your gift will ship via UPS, FedEx or DHL.
 
Available Shipping Methods:
Ground Delivery varies / 5-7 business days (Could arrive up to 3 days early)
2nd Day Delivery in 2 business days (Could arrive up to 1 day early)
Next Day Delivery the next business day (Guaranteed)
Saturday Delivery may not be available in rural areas -- Contact Customer Service

 

Ground shipping is not available for perishable items such as fruit.  In order to retain the highest level of freshness for your gift, perishable gifts do not ship out on Fridays and cannot be delivered on Mondays.  Please be sure to check the Shipping Information tab on each product page for further shipping details. 
 
Q. Why are some of the shipping options not available after I choose a delivery date?
A. Depending on the shipping date that you request, various options become available that can ensure our delivery can accommodate your date selection. 
 
Note: You will not be able to select Ground shipping for a delivery date that is two days away from your order date.  We would not be able to meet your 2-Day arrival deadline via the Ground shipping method because Ground can take a minimum of 5-7 business days.  In order to satisfy that time constraint, you would have the option to select 2nd day or Next day shipping ONLY.
 
Q. Do I have to pick a delivery date when placing my order?
A. Yes.  Our best efforts to ensure that your gift is delivered on your special occasion, requires a date selection to be made when placing your order.  At Be Thoughtful Gifts, we strive hard to exceed the needs and expectations of our customers.
 
Note:  If your gift is of no rush for delivery and you want to use the less expensive (Ground) shipping method, be sure to select a date that allows at least 5 business days for delivery.
 
Q. What holidays does Be Thoughtful Gifts observe?  What is your holiday shipping schedule?
A. We do not ship gifts on the following holidays: New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.  Our Customer Service Specialists are not available in observance of these holidays.
 
Q. How much does delivery cost?

A. The shipping cost can be found on each product page. Since each item has unique requirements and pricing, we are unable to provide a standardized shipping chart.

Q. Do you have a summer shipping policy?
A. Yes.  During summer months (late May - late October), we ship chocolate products via overnight with ice packs only to prevent melting.  Chocolate gifts cannot be shipped over the weekend during warm weather.  Ice packs only last up to 36 hours.
 
Q. When will my order be shipped?
A. Orders placed before 11:00 a.m. EST will be shipped the same business day. Orders placed after 11:00 a.m. EST will be shipped the next business day.
 
Note:  If you order a gift containing fruit on Friday, it will not ship until Monday.

Q.Do you offer Saturday delivery?

A. Yes.  We offer Saturday delivery for all gifts at an extra cost with the exception of popcorn tins. 
 
Note:  Saturday delivery is not always available to every region by the shipping carrier.  If your gift is being delivered to a rural area and you are unsure whether Saturday delivery is available, be sure to contact our Customer Service Specialists with any questions.

Q. Can I request my order to be delivered at a specific time?

A. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the specific time of day that your package will be delivered.

Q. Why can I only choose Next Day delivery for some gifts?

A. Be Thoughtful Gifts currently offers an assortment of gifts that we consider highly perishable. Because these items require delivery within 24 to 36 hours, we only offer Overnight delivery as an option for these items to ensure quality in your gift.

Our perishable gifts will arrive at your recipient's door insulated with protective packaging ice packs to ensure your delivery is received in superb condition.

Q. Will you ship to a P. O. Box or APO/FPO address?

A. No, not at this time.  However, we will ship to a military base only if we are provided a physical street address.

Q. Can I place my order for shipping to multiple addresses?

A. Yes.  Simply add your variety of gifts to your shopping cart and select "Yes" for shipping to Multiple Addresses.  You will be guided through the checkout process accordingly.  This unique feature can give you the capability to send your gifts to different addresses, whether you’re sending the same gift to everyone or different gifts to each address. Be sure to look for Multiple Address information when selecting your shipping options.

Q. If I order more than one gift to the same address, are my gifts packaged and shipped together?
A. No.  Our products ship from a variety of our warehouses across the United States.  Therefore, each gift ships in its own package for delivery. 

Q. Can my order be shipped to a hotel or hospital?

A. Yes. Your order can be shipped to a hotel or hospital but doing this can be risky. Packages traditionally go to a general receiving area before being routed to a patient and/or guest room.

Note: Hospital deliveries require the patient’s room number and ward/unit included with the delivery address. Without this information, hospitals may refuse the delivery attempt.

Q. Can I ship to a school or university?

A. Yes. Your order can be shipped to a school or university but doing this can be risky. Packages traditionally go to a general receiving area before being routed to the student.

Note: Please keep school hours in mind. Our carriers may deliver at any time up until 7:00 p.m. We cannot guarantee delivery if there is no one there to accept a package. Once a delivery attempt has been made, it is the responsibility of the recipient to make sure the package is accepted. Some packages require signature, while others may not.

Q. Will my gift require a signature upon delivery?
A. No.  Residential deliveries are delivered without signature unless requested in the "order notes" by our customers (with the exception of wine or other alcholic beverages).
 
Q. Why am I restricted from buying wine or other alcoholic beverages to particular states?

A. Gifts containing wine or other alcoholic beverages are subject to shipping restrictions and can only be delivered to recipients in certain designated states. When purchasing a gift with wine or other alcoholic beverages in it, check the product page to find out state shipping requirements.  The states in which you are allowed to receive wine and other alcoholic beverage deliveries will be listed.

NOTE: You must be 21 years of age or older to order and receive a gift containing wine or alcohol. UPS, FedEx and DHL require an adult signature upon delivery of shipments containing alcohol.

Q. How can I correct a delivery address?
A. Contact us immediately by calling us toll free at 1-800-403-9033. We will be happy to correct your delivery address information if your order has not already been shipped or delivered.

Q. How can I ensure that my gift will arrive in time for a holiday?

A. Be Thoughtful Gifts strongly recommends having your gift arrive the day before a major holiday. If your gift must be delivered on a specific day, you must select overnight delivery for a guarantee.

Note: During Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day deliveries may take one additional business day due to high package volume.
